A Country Church with a Heart!

How To Know For Sure You Are Going To Heaven When You Die.

All of us want to go to Heaven when we die. Some think you gain Heaven by doing good works or by attending church; While you should do those things, that's not what the Bible says allows us to spend eternity with God.

There are a few things you need to know if you want to go to Heaven. The first thing is that you are a sinner. Sin is missing the mark, it is doing what God has instructed us not to do. The Bible tells us in Romans 3:10 "As it is written; There is none righteous, no not one. " and Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God". Our good works can not grant us entrance into God's Heaven.

Romans 6:23 begins with "For the wages of sin is death..." Because of breaking God's law, we deserve to spend eternity separated from God in a place called Hell. Hell is not a place we like to talk about, but it is a real place. Jesus talked way more about Hell than he did Heaven. But, notice what the next part of Romans 6:23 says "but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord." God sent his only begotten son Jesus to earth to live a sinless life and then die on the cross for our sins and rise from the grave 3 days later. All we have to do is repent of our sins, believe that Jesus is who he said he is and confess him before men and He will save us. Roman 10:9-10 tells us "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

If you want Jesus to save you, pray a prayer like this and the Bible guarantees that he will save you. "Dear God. I know I am a sinner. Today I turn away from my sins, I trust in Jesus Christ as my Saviour and my Lord I believe that he died on the cross for my sins and rose again 3 days later. Please help me in the days ahead to become more and more like Him. In Jesus name Amen"
